The Saucepan – Lightweight & Responsive
Crafted from single-ply 18-0 stainless steel, the 20 cm Yukihira saucepan weighs only about 550 grams, making it easy to handle even when full. The signature hammered "honeycomb" exterior improves heat distribution and reduces sticking. The 2.1 liter (2.2 quart) capacity includes convenient internal volume markings, so you can measure liquid directly inside the pan.
Dual-sided pour spouts allow left- or right-handed pouring without drips. The natural wooden handle stays cool on the stovetop and provides a comfortable, secure grip. This pan works on all cooktops including induction, gas, and electric.
The Lid – Stainless Steel with Wooden Knob
The Yoshikawa Yukihira lid is crafted from durable stainless steel and fits the 20 cm saucepan perfectly (also compatible with 22 cm pans). It locks in moisture and heat for simmering broths, dashi, or miso soup. The wooden knob stays cool to the touch, and a built-in hanging loop makes storage easy. Sturdy steel butter knife. I was pleasantly surprised by the thickness of steel used which makes the bend function as desired which is to srape of the butter strings through the holes. Well thought and designed by not compromising on quality at all. Full marks! Japanese know it well and their craftsmanship is at another level.

I have quality Henkel knives, but this knife has a sharpness beyond what these knives can do. It's an important tool in my knife kit. I'm hopeful that it will be durable and have lasting power. So far, I am enjoying the experience of using it!

I’m a salmon and trout angler. I was happy with using this tool to pin bone pink salmon as it was able to pull two out at a time. I tried it on a fresh chinook last night though and wasn’t very impressed, I think needle nose pliers would have been more effective.

The Hayami 130 arrived promptly and very sharp, one of the sharpest knives I've ever received from a vendor. It's convenient to have it razor sharp out of the box. I use petty knives a lot, just above my use of the cleaver. This knife is beautiful and extremely functional. The next petty knife will be about 100mm.
